CASE STUDY

The Brief: 

  • Bring to life the new Topaz ethos ‘That’s Better’ across over 400 stations around the country

  • Reposition the store offer and redesign the physical brand with a new look and feel

  • Create significant stand out and be different to other competitors on the market

  • Ensure their new coffee concept Re:Store was integral to the store offer and Topaz brand

  • Work closely with new management team, new MD Emmet O’Neill and McCabe Design

The Solution:

Our aim was to create a look and feel which was fresh, clean and entirely different to the competition. We researched forecourt concepts worldwide in UK, Europe and USA to create benchmarks and best practice going forward.​ We developed interior and exterior concepts in 3D visual presentations with animated walk throughs for executive team briefings.

 

We identified four stores as initial prototypes and project managed these with Topaz engineering team over a six week period. Subsequently, we rolled out the new look and feel across a six month period to over 100 locations– approximately three stores per week. Exhibit worked with the Topaz design team and engineers to create a contemporary retail design layout, with elegant, simple branding and warm, tactile finishes. Modular shelf units, featuring lightboxes, distinguish the seating area.
